In 2000, Tim House was approached and asked to oversee the development of this hotel, restaurant and spa project that was then in embryonic form. He stayed with the venture through opening and on to seven years of operating as one of the UK’s finest country hotels.
The hotel was consistently listed as one of the best hotels in the UK, its restaurant built up a loyal following, as did C-Side, the groundbreaking Spa, and later the Village Shop, the hotel’s in-house retail venture.
The innovative approach to guest service and staff care resulted in a consistency and smooth operating style that won the hotel so many accolades and guest loyalty.
