Tim is currently the lead consultant on the acquisition, re-development and opening of a Portuguese coastal retreat, in Comporta, scheduled to launch in 2022.
As the advisor and board member to the investor group, he ensures that the process is carried out to their needs, while consulting them and the other key stakeholders on every aspect of creating a new hotel, and a successful business.
The investor group were set to acquire an amazingly located 52 bedroomed village property in Comporta, just minutes from the beach yet in a sought-after village location. The property was in disrepair and in need of a full overhaul, meaning closure, and a complicated set of plans to totally reinvent the concept.
The brief was multi-layered, starting from the outset with a viability study of the project, which in turn led to a full and comprehensive set of figures outlining every cost associated with the project from start to opening. A detailed forecasted seven year profit & loss set of figures was then required.
Having assisted the stakeholders with the search for a hotel management partner, Tim is now working alongside the appointed team to ensure that the pre-opening work is completed to the satisfaction of everyone involved and that the timelines fit in with the projections.
Working with the hotel management group, the architects and designers, the technical project management team, the investors and the board, the Comporta Project is a truly holistic venture that requires an experienced and detached component, i.e. Tim House, to ensure that everyone’s interests are overseen and managed appropriately.
